2. Chaos Walking

That is the question that this $90 to 100 million budget Sci-Fi movie seeks to answer. The movie is based on the novel of Patrick Ness, The Knife of Never Letting Go and it is directed by Doug Liman.
With stars such as Tom Holland, Daisy Ridley, Mads Mikkelsen, and Demián Bichir, Chaos Walking is definitely among the most looked out for 2019 Sci-Fi movies.
3. Godzilla: King of the Monsters

Another film in the Godzilla franchise, this will be a sequel to Godzilla (2014) which definitely means that it is yet another one that is highly anticipated.
Directed by Michael Dougherty, we are meeting the existence of humanity in a balance because of the rise of god-sized monsters and Godzilla who clash with Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah.

5. Iron Sky The Coming Race

When Iron Sky was released in 2012, it was not exactly one of the best comic science fiction action films around, but The Coming Race which has a budget of €17 million promises to be something different as a sequel.
Earth has been invaded by Moon Nazis leading to a nuclear war. 20 years after, the earth is inhabitable and the last survivors are looking for a place to settle but then they find an underground city that is occupied by reptiles and dinosaurs led by the reptilian form of Adolph Hitler.
Directed by Timo Vuorensola and written by Dalan Musson, the movie features stars such as Julia Dietze, Udo Kier, and Lara Rossi.
6. Star Wars: Episode IX

To almost everyone’s favorite, Star Wars is returning as the Episode IX. 8. Captive State
Release Date: 29 March 2019 (USA)
This 25 million budget movie is written, directed, and produced by Rupert Wyatt who has also directed great movies like The Escapist (2008) and Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011).

The upcoming movie which is set in a neighborhood in Chicago takes us to a time after an occupation by an extra-terrestrial force. Casting stars like John Goodman, Vera Farmiga, and Ashton Sanders, the thriller/fantasy takes a look at life at either side of the conflict.

9. Pale Blue Dot

Transformers 7 is the movie that is supposed to take this spot, unfortunately, Paramount has withdrawn what is supposed to be the 7th movie in the Transformers line off the 2019 schedule. To be clear, Pale Blue Dot may not be a worthy replacement but it is still one of the sci-fi movies that has attracted some interest after the premise of its plot was questioned by Retired astronaut Marsha Ivins.
The movie tells about an astronaut who is back to earth after a long mission only to lose connection with reality due to her stay in space.
Directed by Noah Hawley, this movie features Natalie Portman, Jon Hamm, and Zazie Beetz among other stars.
