It was in 1937 in the USA, that Cathie Jung was born. Her birth name is actually Cathy, but she decided to change it to Cathie because she did not want her writing to go to the next line. She was born with a normal body size although her childhood and family members have not been revealed.
As regards her education, Jung went to Tufts University where she studied biology. It was also while she was here that she met the man who later became her husband, Bob.
2. She is married to an orthopedic surgeon
As stated, while she was still schooling at the Tufts, she met a man whose name is Bob Jung. He also obtained a degree in the college where he also attended medical school. The two fell in love and started dating before they later got married.
When she got married to the love of her life many years ago in 1959, Cathie wore a corset in her wedding dress.

She revealed that she was initially not interested in having anything to do with them because it has so many weird things. However, after a year of chasing her, she decided to give in and she made it to the record book.
Cathie was recorded to have the tiniest waist after she was measured to have a waist of 38.1 cm (15 in) when corseted and 53.34 cm (21 in without corset. She stands at a height of 1.72 m (5 ft 8 in).

The journey of Cathy Jung was something she embarked upon as a result of her fascination with Victorian fashion. She revealed that because she could not fully achieve the fashion with a large waist, she decided to start wearing a corset which helped in bringing down her waist. Interestingly and her husband has also been intrigued by the Victorian dress style.
According to her, she never thought of having a tiny waist as it came as something natural because of the corset she was always wearing.
6. She wears a corset for the most part of the day
Cathie has worn a corset all day -every day for the past 25 years except for when she has to take her bath which lasts for about an hour. She explains that she still does chores around the house with a little support and goes swimming of course with a corset bikini, the tricky part is sitting down on a low stool for she prefers to sit on a high stool when out for dinner dates or outings. It does not affect her other aspects of life such as driving.
She started wearing the corset when she was 18 to 19.
7. Her shape is not influenced by surgery
Even though she is married to a surgeon, the Victorian fashion enthusiast made it clear that she has never had surgery done to remove any of her ribs. Also, it is not a product of any kind of exercise.
Contrary to what one might think, she does not experience any health issues. She revealed that she lives a healthy life and her husband carries out frequent X-rays on her to make sure there is nothing abnormal going on there.

Cathie and her husband embarked on this dress lifestyle initially just for the love and fascination of fashion and for social reasons but over the years, this waist has brought in some money for her and her family. She and her husband have flown to Tokyo Japan for a guest appearance on TV many times, she has also appeared on pages of the New York Times Style section and Life Magazine.
She also graced the Versace show of the annual Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume Institute party wearing a silver corset worn over a beautiful back gown, she has also appeared on Tv shows in and around the USA. According to the Guinness World Record, judging by the number of corsets in her collection, she could also be in contention for the highest number of corsets if a category was created for it.

An American lab worker, Sammy Wilson, is currently set on taking over from Cathie to become the living person with the tiniest waist. Weighing 14 stone in 2018, she has worked herself into a 15-inch corset by 2020, and 21.5 inches without a corset. The mother of one revealed that she is also using a corset to also get the tiniest waist.
