Obviously, the popularity of sex robots is getting higher and higher by the day. Even amidst the excitement, however, there are fears by experts, that hackers may be able to get sex robots to kill their owners.
This time around, it is not Elon Musk, who has always voiced his fears on the rise of artificial intelligence and the future of humanity. It is rather, a cybersecurity lecturer, Dr. Nick Patterson who has revealed that the lifelike dolls may end up going all “Terminator” on us.

The fear is that even though the sex robots may not get dangerous on their own, hackers may be able to breach the security of the dolls and end up with them catching their owners pants down.
According to Patterson, “Once hacked they could absolutely be used to perform physical actions for an advantageous scenario or to cause damage.”
What makes this possible is because they are being connected to the internet. What is even more disturbing is that the lecturer told Star Online that compared to devices such as phones and computers, hacking into many modern-day robots is simply another piece of cake.
Even though it may be very hard for a hacker to think of using sex robots to kill, he may control it to do something else that may lead to a terrible ending.
Sex Robots May Not Do Much Harm
On his part, Jason McNew, who is also a cybersecurity expert who once worked for the White House Communications Agency, it is very easy to hack the robots, but considering their technology, they may not be able to do much damage.

“A 115 pound [52 kilograms] robot that is covered with silicone won’t be able to do much physically,” McNew told Cosmopolitan. “Go onto YouTube and search for ‘bipedal robots’ – robots that can walk on two legs. Look at how heavy, ugly, cumbersome (and expensive) they are with today’s technology.”
Another computer analyst said it doesn’t even have to be a sex robot before such a damage could be recorded. According to him, any robot that interacts with humans can be that dangerous.
