Many of us have found ourselves loving Nokia. We have followed Nokia right from the popular Nokia 3310, then through Java, Symbian, and then Windows. After the infamous deal with Microsoft in 2014, it went low.
On its big return to the smartphone market, we would be greeted by Nokia Android phones which are meant to compete with all other market toppers. Apart from phones, Nokia is also shooting out tablets.

Among the Nokia android phones, we would soon see are D1, E1, P1, and A1 among others. Here are some facts about them
- They are All Android Guaranteed
From Windows, these phones would launch Nokia into Android OS. What we can gather at the moment is that the phones are between Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and Android 7 Nougat, which the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system.
2. We should get to see them in 2017
Some of these phones were expected to out late 2016, however, they didn’t make it. Therefore we are expecting them to start making it out from January 2017.
In fact, many had anticipated that they would be launched at the CES 2017, but it came and passed without anything.
3. They Are Not Built By Nokia
With the expiration of its deal with Microsoft, Nokia has had a deal with a Finland-based company HMD Global Oy till the next decade. This means that for the next decade company will be able to launch Nokia-branded handsets.
As regards the software, HMD has partnered up with Google so the new phones will run on Android. And although HMD will design the hardware, the actual handset will be built by FIH Mobile Limited, a subsidiary of Foxconn – one of the companies that builds the iPhone.
4. Before you Freak Out, It is Still Nokia
While Nokia may not handle it directly, it is very much involved in everything. It will have its members on the HMD board, and everything will be made based on its design and specifications.
Nokia will also receive royalty payments for the use of its patents and will let HMD use its research and development properties.
