You must have been thinking that you have already seen all the cars this world has to offer, or at least, most. Well to surprise you, you have not.
Some of these cars are not designed for the regular everyday use, like many regular cars, but I cant even tell you for what use they were made. Maybe the creativity, uniqueness, or for someone somewhere with some odd taste.
Interestingly enough, most of these odd looking cars were not designed many. Most do not exceed 10 in numbers all over the world. One last thing is that they are not made for every road since most are either too low, or designed with only 3 wheels.
Here is a special list of some of the most odd looking cars you will ever get to see:
Peel P50
With three wheels, the Peel P50 is regarded as the world’s smallest car, and it has held the Guinness Book of World Records’ title for over 50 years because of this. It is used both indoors and outdoor. The car has only three wheels and it can only take one person.
The car which only has one door and one headlight, first manufactured in the 1960s on the Isle of Man by Peel Engineering Company’s owner Cyril Cannell. The last of the cars was manufactured in 1964 with only fifty Peel P50s ever being produced.
One of the untra rare 1964 Peel P50 recently went up for auction, it fetched over $120,000! One person that owns this car is broadcaster, Jeremy Clarkson.
1948 Tasco
To be honest, sometimes you cannot help but wonder what was going on in one’s head when developing some of these most odd looking cars, such as the 1948 Tasco, which no matter how you think of it, it is still an intelligent piece.
Often described as the plane car, it was designed by Gordon Buehrig, for the The American Sports Car Company (Tasco). The looks of the car immediately calls attention because of the wacky front fenders that it features attached to the wheels. The fenders are designed in a way that would allow them to turn as the car drives.
After GM used the car on the 1968 Corvette, Buehrig sued and he got compensation for the patent which he had.
APTERA TYP-2E
This is another three wheeled car that had much promise as fingers were crossed to watch it take over. It was designed as Aptera Typ-1 before the name changed by a California-based company in 2010.
The car first began as a battery electric vehicle which would give a speed that would go from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 km/h) in less than 10 seconds. A next model was to come as a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, and both would have sold for between mid-US$20,000s to mid-US$40,000s.
Unfortunately, the car was stopped halfway and people who had deposited for it even before it was finished got back their money
2012 ETV
This car may be beautiful and out of this world, which makes sense since it is called the Extra Terrestrial Vehicle, but it still ends as one of the most odd looking cars you will come across.
Th car is designed as one for the future, and it makes use of supercharged 2.0-litre four-pot petrol and doors that fold upwards.
It was designed by a man named Michael Vetter who decided to put it on sale on eBay for $100,000 (£62,500).
Nissan S Cargo
This is a car that as much as possible, tried to loo regular on one hand, and yet on another, tried even harder to be odd looking or even ugly.
Bond Bug
This car came after Reliant and Bond got married. The two companies, with Relaint becoming one of the biggest three wheeler manufacturing company, made some cars together, but this was developed by the Reliant company as something different from what is seen everyday.
It was designed by Tom Karen with two seats and a tilting cabin top as well as canvas doors. Even though it was initially designed for the young market, this car was only able to sell 2,268 cars in the first four years. From then on, things picked up and business became good.
Corbin Sparrow
There was point at which this car disappeared from the face of the earth, but now it is gradually attempting to come back under the name Myers Motors NmG. Constructed for city use, the Cobin Sparrow is returning as an electric, single-seat, three-wheel automobile.
Trust me, it has an odd look, but it is still sweet as it has almost the size of a big motorcycle, and it affords convenience. I think it has some shape of a boot, or is it only me?
Norman Timbs Special
It was Norman E. Timbs who designed this amazing streamliner in the 1940s.The man was known for designs and constructions that were simply out of this world. One of his famous was the ‘Blue Crown Specials.’
The car which was inspired by different Pre-World War II race cars, including the Mercedes-Benz W25 Avus Grand Prix cars stands at only 47 inches high, from ground to the top of the windshield. This is even as it has a wheelbase of 117 inches with a length of almost 17 feet.
Bugatti Type 57s Aérolithe
This car is one that shows class, trust me. It is sweet in both the design and operation. The Bugatti Type 57s Aérolithe was a one off prototype designed by Ettore’s son Jean for the 1935 Paris motor show. The car was constructed with super-light magnesium bodywork which was the first at the time.
What Ralph Lauren has is a Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, and there are only two of that model in the world. The one belonging to Lauren has been said to be worth over $40 million. Yeah, that’s right.
General Motors Firebird I
The General Motors Firebird I car has a look that i will say is almost like a fighter jet. It is not the one that you will want to drive around town in, but it is definitely intriguing. The car came as the first gas turbine automobile ever to be built and tested in the United States. It was Harley J. Earl, the legendary GM Styling Vice President, that brought the idea of the Firebird 1.

Just as this, the entire line of the Firedbird has been rather interesting just as the cars have their rather unique or odd looks if you prefer.
