While things like bed bugs at home can be terrible, things like cockroaches can simply be disgusting, and things like spiders can be outrightly creepy. But then, beyond the long legs of the spiders, their creepiness, there are many reasons why you should never kill spiders in your home.
It is very interesting to know that many spiders have venoms, but these venoms are too weak to cause any harm to humans. That said, there are those that are very harmful to humans. In case you are scared, the number of death caused by spiders each year is so low that you are more likely to die of bees and wasps than you are to die of spiders. This is as it has been found that only 6 to 7 people die of spider bites each year in the United States.
Reasons why you should never kill spiders in your home:
1. They can help keep away pest
This may be quite surprising, but spiders can keep off some kind of pests like mosquitoes, flies, and even cockroaches. This is because they feed on these insects and others that are smaller than them and you don’t even know that they exist in your home. And in case you get worried that they may be too much in the home, some of these spiders may even feed on other spiders so that would help regulate them.
2. Prevention of Famine
Thanks to their importance to the environment, there are scientists that believe that the only reason why there is no famine is that we still have spiders around. The day they disappear, we would begin the famine work. This is because they are able to control pests that have the capabilities of destroying crops if left unchecked.

Of course, there are exaggerations there since we know that there are pesticides and they work efficiently, but the thing is that spiders are also important in controlling the pets.
3. They are environmentally friendly
There are some animals or insects that you don’t want around because they are completely bad for the environment. But then, for the spiders, it has been found that they are great for the ecosystem.
4. Good luck Charm
Now, I don’t know whether you believe in luck or not, but the Chinese do. They also believe that having spiders which were called ‘ximu’, or the happy insects are a sign of good luck most especially if they drop from the ceiling on you or in front of you. Good sign from heaven!
5. They cause no harm to people
Spiders are almost as harmless as you can think. Of course, they bite and some of them can actually kill, but that is hardly ever possible except in the case that you are bitten by the Black widow spider which are mostly found in North America. The bad news is that these spiders are extremely venomous and are in fact, said to be 15 times stronger than a rattlesnake’s venom.
