Jegede married fellow Nigerian actor, Olakunle Fawole (Abounce), the son of a late actress, Bukky Ajayi, in 2018 and their union was subsequently blessed with a son, Xavier Jegede.
Prior to their wedding, the pair first met in 2004 on the set of Tade Ogidan’s famous drama series, Behind the Siege.
In March 2019, Yvonne confirmed that her marriage to Abounce had crashed 3 months after the birth of their son Xavier. She also said that they began to have issues a few months after she became pregnant.
After the divorce, Yvonne noted that the issues that led to their separation were not enough to end their marriage but unfortunately, they did. She also added that for some reason, she and her husband didn’t seem to be on the same page most of the time.
Meanwhile, Yvonne has said that her short-lived marriage and eventual divorce were a phase in her life that added to her life experience. She has also said that although she is currently not in communication with her ex-husband, they had a good friendship that counted for something.
Regrettably, she lamented the fact that the first time her husband publicly accepted that Xavier was his son was because people were beginning to accuse her of having a child for another person while she was married. As a result of this, she had to give her ex-husband an ultimatum that if he did not show up before their child turned 5, she would take his name off his child’s name.
