Apparently, Nigeria is a country that has been quite beset with many problems throughout its history. The nation, regarded to be the most populated black country on earth, has come to be known around the world as one of the most problematic places anyone can be in.
However, this is not the only thing Nigeria is known for because, in spite of our many problems, many resolute citizens with incredibly bright minds have, time and again, come up with great innovative solutions to aid our national growth.

Nigeria is a nation filled with great minds who are moving against all odds do great things for themselves, families and the nation at large. Over the years, many young Nigerians have demonstrated their great capabilities to change the world with their immense talents, if given the chance.
From computer wizardry to deep artistry and incredible business acumen, young people around Nigeria have completed immensely commendable works of greatness that have left many people in serious awe.
A most recent example of these kinds of people would be Kareem Olamilekan, an 11-year-old boy who is an extraordinarily talented hyperrealistic artist. Although he was born to a very poor family, the young boy has gone on to horn his skills and wow the nation with his gifts.

His talent has led him to meet with the high and mighty. Only a few days ago on 3rd July 2018, Olamilekan met with the President of France at Fela’s Afrika Shrine in Lagos and drew the man under just two hours.

Enter Emmanuella Oziofu, The Small Girl With Big Brains
And now, we will talk about Emmanuella Oziofu, a girl who has caught attention with her incredible drive to creating something new which can go on to solve a problem people are facing in Nigeria.
Emmanuella is a pupil of Fortune Schools in Benin, Edo, and even though she was born just nine years ago, she already has the drive and thinking energy of an adult as she effectively horns her talent in web development.
The young woman began to learn about Information Communication Technology when she was just 7 years old and now at the age of 9, she already has a diploma in Desktop Publishing, Advance Excel, Adobe Page Maker, Advance Power Point and Corel Draw.
- Emmanuella’s Food Website
Emmanuella, has, after carefully working out a plan, succeeded in designing a website. At an age where most girls would want all things handed over to them, this particular young girl is picking things up by herself.
Emmanuella calls her website the “Food Website” and its purpose is quite a beautiful testament to the girl’s humanity. The young lady has designed the “Food Website” to encourage people including parents and their children to imbibe the habits of eating healthy local and international dishes. Her aim is also to help people to cut down massively on harmful junks.
Apparently, eating of junks has been a perennial problem for many people who often get fat and unhealthy, however, Emmanuella is out to help correct that.
- A Project Worth Celebrating
Emmanuella celebrated her success while speaking with newsmen about the project at her 9th birthday in January. According to her, she has always targeted to become a professional web designer and she now accomplished it.
In her words: “My target is to become a professional web designer and analyst at age 9, and I have accomplished it.”
Emmanuella launched her website in February 2018.
A Futuristic Young Woman
Emmanuella is not just stopping at developing her website, she wants to do something more; create the website as an app on Google Play Store and launch it before her 10th birthday in 2019.
The young girl who is studying web design at the Complete Computer Technology Centre in Benin is bent on having her website set up to meet up with standard practice.
Emmanuella, the young ICT guru, has also revealed that she would in the future help to teach young children about ICT and also broaden her deep knowledge about the field of study. Summing up her intentions, Emmanuella has asserted that she wants to break certain records before she attains the age of 14.
Many More ‘Emmanuellas’ Waiting To Hit Limelight
Without a doubt, there are lots of young girls and boys like Emmanuella with incredible talent around Nigeria, but who need some form of encouragement. They need an adequate enabling environment to function properly and horn their skills better to produce incredible works of utter genius.
The Federal Government is urged to go about creating a truly enabling environment to help children at a very young age like Emmanuella, to learn ICT and grow in it.
It is noteworthy that young children in places like China are doing awesome in the field of technology because they have been given the enabling environment to function. The Nigerian government can do the same by creating a good ICT infrastructure in schools around the country and encourage young kids like Emmanuella who have a desire to delve into technology, to pursue their dreams.
